The Belvedere Hotel Family receives the GreenSign Level 4 Certificate
The Belvedere Hotel family successfully passed the certification in July and was classified at level 4 out of 5. This takes into account the many years of comprehensive measures in all areas of sustainability and now the establishments are recognised with an official label. This makes it possible to obtain further labels such as the Swissstainable certificate or the Tourcert label, which is important for the DMO, directly at the highest levels.

Volker Schönherr new executive manager at the Belvedere
With Volker Schönherr, the Hotel Belvedere is gaining a proven specialist in the management of a family and wellness hotel. As the new host, he will look after the well-being of the guests at the ****S Hotel Belvedere in Scuol together with the site manager of the BELVEDERE HOTEL FAMILY René Stoye and the owner family Julia and Kurt Baumgartner.

New business rooms are ready for occupancy
Despite the difficult times, Hotel Münchwilen continues to invest in the future. In recent weeks, 16 rooms have been redesigned and renovated. Modern, bright and friendly double rooms have been created. In addition to the usual comforts, they also have a NESPRESSO machine. The bathrooms have also been freshened up and made brighter. With the company LIGNO in-Raum, the hotel's interior design office, which had already designed the first renovation phase, could again be engaged. The result is a uniform and consistent design in all areas of the hotel.

Federal Court rejects lawsuits against the Flaz hotel project
The Federal Supreme Court has dismissed all of the plaintiff's claims in their entirety. This confirms the decision of the Administrative Court of the Canton of Graubünden, which had already handed down the same decision in April 2021. The initiators of the hotel are very pleased with the decision. Now, together with the municipality, the final votes for the building permit can take place. The investors expect that the building permit can be issued soon. The actual start of construction is planned for spring 2024.

A new outfit for the new season (German)
During the off-season, the Belvedere Hotel Family has once again undergone major renovations and invested over 1 million Swiss francs in various maintenance and renovation works in the Belvedere and Boutique-Hotel GuardaVal.

Renovation of the Engadine Boutique Hotel GuardaVal (German)
The summer season has been successfully launched. In the past weeks, time was used and the hotel as well as rooms were renovated lovingly and with consideration for the existing structure of the original Engadine houses. A total of 1 million Swiss francs was invested in the renovation.

Claimant against Hotel Flaz dismissed before administrative court
More than six years ago (December 2020), the municipal assembly approved the partial revision of the zoning of the sports pavilion into a hotel zone. Since then, a lot of time has passed and the hotel initiators had to deal with objections from various sides. Now the administrative court has completed its judgement and dismissed the building objections of four plaintiffs in their entirety. This clears the way for the next steps.

Growth with another hotel in Münchwilen (German)
Kurt and Julia Baumgartner are adding another hotel to the BELVEDERE HOTEL FAMILY. They are buying the 4-star business hotel «Hotel Münchwilen» as of 1st March 2020, thus expanding the hotel family with an establishment geared towards business travellers. It is the first hotel to be located outside of Scuol.
