Artisttalk with Simon Heusser and reading with Romana Ganzoni
Vernissage of the painting exhibition by artist Simon Heusser with a reading by Engadine writer Romana Ganzoni at the Engadine boutique hotel GuardaVal.
Simon Heusser is fascinated by working with "living" biomass, the long drying times of the colours and the smell of salty seawater. In the course of his artistic experiments with algae, a broader perspective on our relationship with nature and its dramatic change through human intervention has also emerged for him. For the exhibition SEA GROUND FOREST at the Hotel GuardaVal, the artist focused on natural phenomena that he captured during his stays in the Engadine mountains.
Romana Ganzoni, a writer who lives in Celerina, studied history and German language and literature in Zurich and taught at a grammar school for twenty years before devoting herself entirely to writing. Romana Ganzoni writes short stories, poems, essays and novels, commentaries and columns in various newspapers and blogs, both in German and in Romansh. She was awarded the Graubünden Literature Prize 2020 for her collection of stories "Granada Grischun" (2017) and her first novel "Death in Genoa" (2019).
