Active Programme Summer 2023

Easy or moderately difficult, varied hikes and [e]-bike tours around the Lower Engadine Dolomites. We offer 2 - 3 hikes and [e]bike tours every week with our dedicated hiking guides Andrea Matossi, Janett Caviezel and Richard à Porta. You can find out which hike or [e]bike tour is currently on offer, as well as registration details, in the daily morning post at breakfast. 

LAVIN - GUARDA - ARDEZ
On the tracks of Schellen-Ursli. Easy hike on the sunny slope with a visit to the Schellen-Ursli village of Guarda and the beautiful Engadine village of Ardez.

VNÀ - TSCHLIN - STRADA
Beautiful high-altitude hike through spring meadows and forest high above the valley floor. Vnà and Tschlin are worth a visit with their traditional Engadine building culture. In Tschlin we decide whether to take the path down to Strada or use the post bus.

LADY'S SLIPPER TOUR
PLAN DA FUNTANAS - LAI NAIR - TARASP
By PostBus to Plan da Funtanas and from there to the entrance of the Clemgia Gorge, past the magnificent lady's slippers. Continue via Avrona and Lai Nair to Tarasp or Vulpera. On the way back, if you wish, a short tour of the historic part of the village of Scuol.

VAL SINESTRA - PURE ENGADIN!
We take the PostBus to Vnà. From there to Griosch - Zuort farm - Sinestra - Sent. Impressive hike through meadows, forests and gorges. Over suspension bridges and past the "haunted castle" Hotel Val Sinestra.

MOTTA NALUNS - SENT
We take the cable car up to Motta Naluns. From there we take the high trail to Sent under our hiking boots. We pass magnificent spring meadows with hundreds of different flowers and a perfect view of the Lower Engadine Dolomites. From Sent by PostBus or on foot back to Scuol.

AROUND THE NATIONAL PARK
OFENPASS - S-CHARL
By train to Zernez and then by PostBus to Süsom Givè on the Ofenpass. From here a beautiful mountain trail leads through the highest Swiss stone pine forest in Europe to S-charl. We return to Scuol by PostBus.

VAL D'UINA
Impressive hike from the Reschenpass with the help of PostBus and chairlift Watles to Alp Sesvenna and then through the famous Val d'Uina to Uina Dadaint. There we are picked up by a minibus. The chairlift on Watles and the ride to Sur En are not included in the guest card, these costs are approx. CHF 50.-/pers. (depending on the number of people).

MOTTA NALUNS - PIZ CLÜNAS - FTAN
We take the cable car to Motta Naluns. From there we climb towards Piz Clünas. The ascent is optional, we decide at Alp Clünas if we want to go up or not. Descent via Lai Minschun and Alp Laret to Ftan, from there by post bus to Scuol.

EDELWEISS AND DEERS ON THE MOT TAVRÜ
We take the PostBus through the wild Val S-charl and get off at the "Schmelzra" mining museum. From there we climb the Mot Tavrü in a good two and a half hours. Edelweiss, alpine aster, red deer and, with a bit of luck, a bearded vulture await us here. The descent follows the same path and we visit the idyllic village of S-charl.

WILDLIFE OBSERVATION VAL MINGÈR
We get up early for game watching. We take the PostBus to S-charl and then walk for about 2 hours to the Mingèr mirror site. If you have binoculars - don't forget them! The descent follows the same route and we visit the idyllic village of S-charl. As a variation, you can hike from Spiegelplatz to Tarasp, this section then takes about 3 hours longer.

E-BIKE TOUR TO ALP LARET
We ride with the e-bikes (can be rented at Jon Sport) to Ftan and from there to Alp Laret. The way back leads us via Ftan and a variant back to Scuol.

E-BIKE TOUR TO ALP ASTRAS
We start in Scuol in the wild and romantic Val S-charl and ride our e-bikes all the way back into the valley to Alp Astras, past God Tamangur. On the way back we return to Scuol via San Jon. If we want to stop somewhere for a bite to eat, it will take longer.

COMBINED BIKE AND HIKE
From the Hotel Belvedere we ride our e-bikes via Vulpera and Tarasp to Alp Laret/Plaz. From there it's about an hour's walk to Crap Putèr - a beautifully situated vantage point with views over the entire municipality of Scuol.

E-BIKE TOUR INTO VAL SINESTRA
We ride via Sent in the direction of Val Laver to Prümaran da la Muranza. There we descend steeply to the Zuort farm, then on to Vnà and via Ramosch and Sur En back to Scuol. It is possible to stop for a bite to eat at the Zuort farm.

E-BIKE TOUR TO GUARDA
From Scuol we ride via Ftan and Chanouas to Guarda, where we visit the Schellenursli and the beautiful village. We return to Scuol via Bos-cha and Munt d'Ardez.

BIKE TOUR TO S-CHARL
We start in Scuol into the wild and romantic Val S-charl and ride our bikes to S-charl. On the way back we return to Scuol via San Jon.

BIKE TOUR TO MARTINA
We cycle mostly downhill along the Inn to Martina. On the way there are several possibilities to make additional rounds, to return or to use the post bus.
